Describe how you work in a team.
I like to lead by example through hard work, competitiveness, and dedication so that there is a high level of focus and intensity on the court. As a setter and team captain, I accept whatever role I am given and understand that I am there to support and encourage my teammates especially in tough moments. I am consistently communicating with my teammates to help keep them focused and positive. Off the court I’m easygoing and playful to keep the team from being too serious.
Athletic highlights and how you felt when you received them:
Ontario Provincial Championship Bronze Medal, Canadian National Championship Bronze Medal, Canadian National Championship All Star Setter. I am very proud of each of those accomplishments as it took a lot of hard work and dedication. I was excited and extremely happy to be named to the National Championship All Star team because it meant that my individual efforts in helping my team were noticed. Winning the two Bronze Medals made me feel fulfilled and relieved because our team had set the goal of trying to win a medal at both events and we succeeded. It was so much fun because it was with a team that had played together for so long.

What program would you like to attend in school?
I would like to study Pre-Med or Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology.
How do you envision your school life in college/university?
I envision my school life as busy. I would like to continue playing volleyball in a program where I have the opportunity to compete for playing time as well as being part of a team with like minded girls. I would also like to pursue my degree in Sciences so that I could fulfill my dream of becoming a doctor.
